I had a really bad time once where I wanted to run a dark souls inspired “explore the cursed island” game, and only two of four players were on board. One literally tried to open a BBQ shop. The other was more of a wonder around and pick flowers, not fights, kind
Great! Now, no matter what the plot demands, at least one party member will be having fun!
If they just team up to massacre the furrys then the rest should get along just fine.
The players during session 0: We want a serious and intricate story with good characters and a deep plot.
The players during session 1: Hey we’re going to throw the Baron’s letter away and try to make a goblin barbershop quartet who travels on this ship we’re stealing.
Between the assult on Raphael’s villa, relationships with Halsin and the Emporer, and the Dark Urge stroyline, the BG3 players could get along with any of these party members.
