This is why I think having agents at all is insane.
When LLMs were restricted to being chatbots, at least they “only” killed people by driving them to suicide and/or murder. (And environmental damage. And economic damage…) Now they have additional ways to do it.
“Increase our QoQ profits by 20%, I will NOT take no for an answer, make no mistakes” and the only way the agent can satisfy the goal was to engage in accounting fraud, who is culpable?
Well clearly the prompter told the agent to make no mistakes and it failed to do that! /s
