I can attest a personal anecdote: an ex of mine was extremely into Huniepop, but I think it’s at least 80% irony poisoning. It was basically all a big silly joke to her, which did not stop her putting like 30 hours into it. Huniepop was a huge, huge meme, and not a good one. I also won’t discount that people might enjoy these purely on the basis that they engage your brain more than just video would?
