The entire re-upload is filled with AI artifacts, and the only thing they changed was this tagline. Is this like the pointless DOD to DOW change?

I can imagine the poor intern they saddled with that ‘critical update’ just went ‘fuck it’ I’ll AI it.
I could be wrong, but that doesn’t really look like the work of AI. It looks like they edited the motion graphics file for the intro clip and re-rendered it. But I didn’t spend more that a few minutes analyzing the video though.
You seem to have more knowledge about video editing than me, so you very well could be right.
But there were a few other things I noticed that felt wrong, such as the servers shifting behind the woman as she blinks (at the end of that first clip, if you go frame by frame) or how during the scene of the country the lights felt to me like they were moving at a different speed to the ground (but I may have been imagining that).
Trust your gut, don’t listen to some rando. I edited videos professionally for a while, but that by no means makes me an expert. I guess the AI angle didn’t pass the smell test for me. If you made the video it would be way easier and cheaper to make a small change in the original project than run it through AI to change one small thing that’s on screen for a few seconds.
But if you have gone through it frame by frame, or as close as youtube allows, I’d be inclined to trust your assessment. I can think of half a dozen reasons they might use AI instead of rediting it, the top of my list being someone did it who was not a video editor or the original files were lost or not provided by the third party vendor that made the original.
