Cycled to the train station this morning, and was completely taken aback by the constant queues of cars waiting at lights. It looks so exhausting to be constantly at a standstill in traffic like that…
The bike paths on the other hand were practically empty, got to the station in the same quick time it would have taken outside of rush hour
On the other hand my car drives itself in traffic, they have AC, and won’t need a shower once they get to work.
Touché!
The last two are solvable problems from my perspective - the wind keeps you cool cycling (as long as there is some wind lol), and an ebike negates the need to shower pretty effectively.
The primary difference for me would be that you’re sheltered in the car, but exposed to the elements on a bike
