At this point I think I prefer when Red Bull has a dominant car, so at least we can have a minimum semblance of respect for the rulebook. The minute things don’t go their way, and FIA goes full 2021 to favor their golden boy.

This is not inconsistency in decision making. They are 100% consistent when Max is involved.

I don’t know how I feel about this

To quote Seb, “Well I think it’s complete bullshit to be honest 🙄” but that’s me sitting here as a casual viewer not stewards knowledge/access.

To me it just feels like another classic inconsistency in decision making.

Absolutely mate, I think it’s a bad call but the stewards have access to more video feeds so we have to trust them.

What I will say is that seargant and Williams was fined EUR5000 for something less egregious

That’s a fair outcome of that’s the case

How is that in any way fair? Alpha Tauri, owned by Red Bull, declined to send a representative to the hearing that would have seen Max penalised for impeding. Any other driver would have had a grid drop.

Exactly. Red Bull jnr had to just drop it in favour of Red Bull Sr. Sucks but what you gonna do? 🤷

The stewards very clearly explain why they did not give a penalty, but still it’s the “FIA golden boy” comments at the top.

Are we forgetting when FIA was called “Ferrari international assistance” because people felt like they were favoring Ferrari all the time?

Stop trying to give meaning to individual decisions. Sometimes things go one way, sometimes the other. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s our goldfish-like memory span.
