    This study is 7 years old. There have been many studies on burnout since COVID, especially regarding the healthcare workers. Of course we could always use more - and their point about doing more randomized, controlled trials stands. Here’s an example of a randomized trial where a mindfulness program was used to treat burnout among medical interns.

    Burnout is hard to address because it’s a systemic work issue, but a lot of research focuses on what an individual worker can do to alleviate their symptoms rather than what their workplace can do to be better. We need both!
