There are no T1 ranged weapons (other than the Mage’s Staff). I thought something like a slingshot would help in the first two regions because sometimes artillery are scarce and the Wandmaker doesn’t always offer a good offensive wand. I imagine a slingshot like a weaker Spirit Bow, something with infinite ammo (since there would likely be small fragments of rock everywhere in the Dungeon). There have been times when I’ve faced Tengu with nothing more than a Wand of BlastWave and a pair of Throwing Clubs, so something like a slingshot would increase chances of success with such a poor selection of weapons.

I feel like someone suggested this years ago but can’t remember specifically.

You can’t obtain T1 weapons outside of starting the character, transmuting your T1 weapons or via the duelist monk skill.

-The T2 ranged weapon is the spear.

-The T3 ranged weapon is the whip

-The T4 ranged weapon is the crossbow

-The T5 ranged weapon is the glaive

As T1 weapons are unobtainable as random loot, making a ranged T1 weapon is pointless. The one class that would ever need to be given a a T1 ranged weapon, is the huntress, who already has the spirit bow which is actually a T1 weapon.

Yes I know all that, the point I’m trying to make is that there is room in the game for something like a slingshot, a low power ranged weapon with no ammo cap. Right now only the Huntress has this capability and it would be cool if other characters could benefit from something similar in the early game.

If it has unlimited ammos then I’m afraid the spirit bow won’t be as unique as it needed to be. Maybe a weapon which it’ll cost you money, like throwing your gold or something, since gold is not unlimited, and important, I think that might be a more balanced option.
