People get worked up about “karma whores”, but won’t contribute themselves. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just people being dumb.

I didn’t misrepresent anything as my own. And posting to fill a void? Guilty, I suppose. I just dumped a category section from my feed at the same time from the site in my freaking break. And there has been plenty of comments and upvotes similar to the communities traffic. Which if we have it your way, will just be devoid of content. People will sure line up for that! Most people probably wouldn’t have even noticed me flooding the community if anyone else was posting. I was happy being a lurker on Reddit. I’m trying to do a part to help the community. Your contribution is to give the content creators a hard time? Guess I should spend my time and energy elsewhere, spez

Is this a LA Times community? Do you work for the LA Times or something? You’re posting for them an awful lot.

It’s just shit I post from an RSS feed. I’ve asked if there are other good sources I should add. And no, I’m doing this all on my spare time to try and help develop the community. I get it, but it’s upsetting a bit.

Plus I’m trying to put the article in the notes so nobody needs to visit the site or fight with the paywall
