I keep hearing my friends complain about the status of the servers. I’m just still dumbfounded that people heard it was essentially online single player and bought this anyway.

They killed Warcraft III They killed Overwatch

Why is blizzard going to pick up the ball on D4? Genuine question, no hate.

Playing about 6 hours a day for two week since release, and after that about 1-2 hours a day I’ve experienced no server issues. The only exception was this past weekend ddos.
This game is phenomenal, with yesterday’s patch became even better, I like multiplayer aspect and just randomly doing some event with a bunch of ppl instead of being on my lonesome.

Why are ppl so insistent on hating on this game is beyond me. Overwatch complaints at least have some merit

I bought D4 because I had bonus points that could be converted into PayPal, so it cost me nothing.

I’ve been playing it pretty casually and I must say I’m not very impressed. I think D3 is better.

I believe it has a lot of potential but it shouldn’t be a $70 to $100 game with a battlepass and mtx.

I will look into it. My wife played a lot of the original D2 and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Did they do it justice or did they butcher it like WC3?

From what I’ve played from D2R it’s actually great and they did it justice. That’s from someone who loved Blizzard in the days of D2 and StarCraft originals and has avoided Blizzard since, except for giving D3 a try and hating it.

          Play D2R. It’s worth it.

Developers continue to find more toxic and malicious ways to take their money, but gamers… gamers never learn.

D3 was terrible at launch and turned into a great game. Dragonflight in wow is a great xpac.

Like all companies blizzard has it’s down sides and good sides. Historically except for immortal, diablo always turns out ok.

I’m enjoying diablo 4. D4 is not made for power gamers. It’s made for dads and moms who are now in their 40s and have kids. Most of us aren’t even in t3 yet. Hell a few weeks ago only a small percent actually completed the campaign! For us the game is great. It will get good for the hardcores soon.

D4 also is a game made to play alongside other games. It’s not made to be the only game you play. And I like that a lot.

Simply put, because Blizzard still makes great games. I had a blast with Dragonflight. I’m currently having a blast with Diablo4.

I’ve had very few connectivity issues with D4, even at launch, the game has been smooth as butter. Yeah, I wasn’t able to login for a bit recently, but it wasn’t much of a bother.

    I haven’t 😁

If some way to pirate it becomes available I’ll certainly do that, but no matter how good it might be, or even if they address the stupid forced online bullshit, i fully intend to never again pay for a blizzard product.

I played a ton of Diablo 2. It’s one of my favourite game of all times. But it’s a old game where the fun lies in dying in hardcore and having all your friends laughing about it at 2 am.

It’s hard to make people play a old game like Diablo 2, but D4 had the new and fresh feel into it that my friends needed to get back into sending demons back to hell.

I just want to play with my friends, like we did as kids.

I’ll be fair and admit that Blizzard still makes great games, but their monetization model and business practices are some of the vilest in the history of gaming, and I will no longer support them because of this.

To be clear, there is no monetization in D4 except skins in game. This is the first blizzard game since D3 for me, so I’m having a blast.

Diablo IV is actually cheaper than Diablo II was if you consider inflation. No idea what everyone is on about. Even Nintendo 64 games cost just a little bit less than what Diablo IV was priced on launch. And when did the N64 release? Game ain’t as expensive as people make out.

@Zuberi. Beyond the DDOS attack there other day I’ve only seen a bit of lag once or twice, no disconnects. Maybe I’m playing at less busy times. I do wish it had an offline mode but so far it’s not caused much trouble for me. As for why…I had been talking about it coming up with some friends and my wife asked what I was talking about. A few days later she surprised me with it as a gift.

Peer pressure, everyone I know was playing D4 and asking me constantly when I was going to get it.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with it after a few days of server patching right at wide release.

I’m a casual player and just hit level 50. Haven’t completed the main scenario yet, but I feel I’ve got my moneys worth so far.

I didn’t play Warcraft III or Overwatch so those didn’t bother me.

I’ve played every Diablo and enjoyed them all immensely. So far I’m having a blast with D4. It’s overpriced but that’s the price you pay to be an early adopter. I bought the “cheap” version because I have no interest in the season content or cosmetics. Frankly this is a $30-$40 game but I wanted it now.

I have a lvl 60 and a lvl 30 character and have never waited for more than 1 min to get in , have never had a disconnect or a crash. The only issue was that one night this past week when they had some issues. So in short it’s been great. Playing on Series x.

The game looked fun and I knew the servers would get fixed eventually. I just waited two weeks before purchasing the game.

Honestly, I haven’t regretted it and it’s the most fun in a game I’ve had in a long time.
