Basically, making UI in video games remain a disaster from now unto forever because there’s only like 6 of us who enjoy making UI and whoever is in charge at Unity is probably frontend webdev and now all indie devs have to be forced to learn their ways.
That’s five more than I expected. I thought it was just Crazy Eddie.
I quite enjoyed making UI in Unity, but not so much since I moved to Godot. Which I realise is a very inflammatory statement at this current time!
But really it’s just because I was used to how it worked in Unity. If we’re honest, like this blog post says, they’re all kind of crap 😅
