It's commonplace these days to see smartphones made of premium materials, like glass and aluminium, but it wasn't always like this. Smartphone manufacturers have somehow convinced the average consumer that the most fragile materials possible make the best phone designs, despite a whit of common sense quickly dispelling this idea.
I loved the unibody design of the original Lumia series. I dropped mine a few times and dented the corners…then just kinda smashed it into a table until it was normal again. Never really needed a case for it.
I’m not sure how well it would work given the slimmer profiles of phones nowadays…but yeah, ditch the fragile shit please. My phone doesn’t sit on display, I want it to be durable
