Is there an app that can make routes for wheelchair users? #OpenStreetMap contains the info about staircases, ramps, curbs, all aspects of accessible or inaccessible city environment, someone should be using it
Or is there a convenivent interface for viewing this kind of data? So we don’t have to view it through #osm editors
That’s the intent of OpenSidewalks, but last I checked it was only available for three cities.
Not at the moment. It takes a lot of mapping and a lot of work to get this correct.
You can however try to create your own routeplanner using OsmAnd, but you’ll need to be familiar with OsmAnd, XML, some programming and OpenStreetMap. (I created the Ski routeplanner a few years back this way)
Hi, I don’t know of apps, but maybe the websites OpenRouteService and wheelmap.org can be helpful?
