I keep reading that the switch to USB on iphone is great because now we can carry around just one charger.

Is this really the case for most people? My MacBook is USB C, but other than that and my Nintendo Switch I don’t think I own anything that uses USB C - at least not stuff I would consider daily carry.

Airpods pro - lightning/wireless Ipad - lightning Apple watch - proprietary charger

Don’t get me wrong, I like the switch to USB, but for me it means one more cable.

    No. I have a Beats Solo 3 pro 2017 that still works perfectly but it is Mini-USB. My AirPods case and wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse are also still on lightning, and I also have some stuff that are still on the ancient USB-A (they are working perfectly, no reason to change them just because of the port), so yea, it will take some time before I can make the full switch.
