I had iphone 6 then switched to Samsung until iPhone 15 pro. Today my friend was telling about double tapping the logo, I was almost angry at him for believing this shit, but apparently it is s thing. When was that implemented? And I almost watch every year’s event, never have I heard Apple mentioning that as a feature, nor anyone on youtube or people I know. What Am I missing here? If I am not missing anything then why Apple is so silent about a feature like this ?
Doesn’t even have to be the logo.
Back tap was added in iOS 14, so started with iPhone 12, so it’s not been that long. It’s back compatible with older iPhones, starting with the iPhone 8 iirc.
Here’s a video of common iPhone features people don’t know about. Enjoy. 👇🏾✨
Thanks for this!
It has nothing to do with tapping the logo. It’s just the phone generally sensing the tap. You can do double tap and triple tap.
On a Pixel you can set up double tap to launch any particular app, turn on/off the flashlight, or go to any website. It’s been there quite a while.
who
You can even do it with a case on. Nothing to do with the logo. Just tap the back of the phone. I use it for screenshots. Works well
It’s an accessibility setting, it’s not so much a feature where the back has a touch sensitive area, more machine learning that can detect the tap.
I’ll be honest in saying that it does work, and it works quite well. But sometimes it doesn’t work, and it really doesn’t work
