I think we can all agree that the fine woven SHOULD NOT be priced the same as the leather cases, but as far as quality and build, I actually like the fine woven cases. Between my wife and I, the two cases we have look perfectly fine since launch with normal pocket and MagSafe use. If you don’t go out of your way to scratch them, it seems they hold up just fine. Caveat, I haven’t dropped it yet, but I recall the leather cases tearing on a corner or scratching after a drop as well. As far as cleaning, I’ve seen videos or discussions of people using damp cloths and cleaning them if need be. I actually think these will stay cleaner than Samsung’s alcantara cases because the weave is so tight.
They don’t patina like leather and don’t clean as well ad leather. Granted, the Apple leather cases were shit but Apple took a step backwards with the finewoven
Because who tf want to put a canvas case on their phone. Its just gross. Unhygienic.
My gf bought a fine woven case and wallet (against my recommendation) on release, they still look fine.
For the price it isn’t worth it at all , can get nice 3rd party leather cases for that price and less
Because it’s expensive and doesn’t hold up at all.
Love mine and it’s nothing like the verge telling its audience it is… Just check this article…he purposely scratches the case right out the box and shows off those pics , sure people think wtf.
