In 2021/22, besides Ted Lasso and Severance, there wasn’t really any really good TV shows that got me hooked, this has massively changed in 2023 and I’m almost exclusively watching it at the moment.

Ted Lasso season 3 was good, Silo (fucking love this show), Platonic are really good and their upcoming shows also look really good. Apple are trying really hard here and I think it shows, thought it was worth stating.

The episode release format really naffs me off though as I’m hooked and then I have to wait a week, guess it makes sense from a business perspective though to ensure people are paying monthly, (except me with 6 months free access via my credit card)

I’m watching Silo and I’m super impressed with the production. I really recommend it to people who are considering watching.

I actually love the weekly release of episodes. It makes it easier to discuss with people who are watching it without spoiling things. We had people over for Ted Lasso every week and it wouldn’t be the same if they dropped all at once

Yes I came here to say this exactly! It makes discussions so much easier. You can all stay on the same page so much easier and I don’t feel forced to rush through. I like having a weekly schedule (Mondays I have [this] to look forward to, Wednesday I have [this], etc).

100% agree. Trying to discuss Stranger Things with coworkers was like walking a tight rope trying to avoid spoilers

I watched a decent amount of TV+ content in 2022 and continuing now in 2023. Silo is awesome, and Platonic is on my list. Will be starting that one very soon.

I think Apple TV said fuck it let’s get back in to short stories in terms of tv. Everyone else tried to create the next Friends or whatever 12 season drama people watched on cable.

Short stories are great because they leave you wanting more.

    • Me and Abed have an agreement. If one of us dies, the other one will make look like a suicide over the cancellation unjust Firefly. We’re going to get that show back on the air buddy."*

The Problem with John Stewart is great for a political, real life show. I feel like it’s what Last Week Tonight was before it got big.

If you like drama, The Morning Show is so freaking good. I can’t wait for the next season.

So good!! All I watch right now! I would be totally up for joining an AppleTV plus community here. I was in the sub on Reddit and loved the discussion around their content.

Have you watched Pachinko? Vastly underrated show! Slow horses is great! So is Bad Sisters and several others.

Nope, Shrinking has Jason Segel and Harrison Ford. This is the funny psychologist show, not the creepy one.
