I had the 5s, 7+ and 11 pro max and I got them within the launch week without preorder or hassle but now its been over a month and theres still a 4-8 week delivery window (on the 15 pro max) through Rogers and apple themselves don’t even have any until late November. Is this how the last few have been? This is insane

I got my iPhone 14 plus in March at a nice discount as they attempted to clear the excess inventory before iPhone 15 was released. They may have intentionally made fewer to match anticipated demand? One aspect I enjoy is the heavy advertising of the iPhone in my games as it is 50% to 75% shorter than other ads.

Sadly no 14pms were at a good price. I tried out the S23 ultra for $5 a month but didn’t love it, should’ve kept it lol.

I’m wondering if more people finally gave in to an upgrade. Also Apple moving their mfg out of China may have had an effect

I got a gold iPhone 13 Pro two years ago, instead of the white I wanted, for the same reason 😉. You may want to change the color or the memory size you want to get it faster.

    > 5s, 7+ and 11 pro max

These all came out long before supply chain woahs in the last 3 years, Apple has struggled to keep the most popular models stocked since then. Also every year the iPhone becomes more complex - bigger camera sensors, faster and brighter screens, industry first smaller processor nodes, denser batteries, etc. - so initial yields will be lower until they perfect the manufacturing processes for new technologies.

USB-C, 5x zoom, Titanium, lighter Body, etc. Demand was too high this time as most people were waiting for a good upgrade after a long time.

I recently ordered my phone. I had one I ordered on launch day but it had to be returned so I reordered later and the delivery was like a month out and I got it in a week.

Upgrade cycles and the addition of USB-C are big contributors. Also didn’t help apple had minor production issues with the displays and especially the 5x camera on the Max facing delays etc. I recall hearing carriers state they haven’t seen demand this high in a while across the board.
