Screenshot from app

- I’m building an Apple Watch app (game) that mixes Tomogotchi-style & Health app altogether.

- Basically, you could grow up your buddy by your daily active energy (or steps)

- Some cool play/interaction with your buddy to reflect your daily exercise progress too.

Would you use this app? Please share your thoughts.

I’d really appreciate all your feedbacks!

Actually sounds kinda interesting. I like the idea of my actions doing workouts effecting something like this.

Maybe more than just pokemon, maybe include some older Tamagotchi styled pets.

I turned my rings into a game for myself to close them out and get my health better and heal my heart. Worked well, once I had set my own rules. So, anything to make working out more engaging or fun for those who do not like doing it is great.

      Thanks u/deckyon

I’m lazy at doing my workout too, that’s why I came up with a workout buddy idea to remind me to do so.

Regular pets (puppies, cats, fishes?) are being considered too but I may start with Pokemon as it’s my favorite champ lines xD

I think Nintendo would shut you down so fast I wouldn’t bother with your app, were you to use actual Pokémon designs. I’d focus your efforts on original creature designs.

I was really not concerned about Pokemon copyright at first.

After a few research it turns out we could NOT use Pokemon-ish for commercial use.

Sad but true. I may switch off to regular pet or original designs on my own.

      Thank you for notice aware

the app Nomi does that. what I think you can add that would make your app popular is for the pet to not die if you gotta be inactive.

Nomi did really well. I was inspired by the app design alot.

But yes the buddy should not die anyway ;)

      Thanks for your suggestion.
