So I am incredibly lucky and have a friend who is entitled to some spending money from a scholarship, and has been very frugal this year, so there is a lot leftover. It has to be spent in 4 days, or else it goes back to the funding source. I know, an absurdly fortunate problem to have.

What are some good (expensive) things to spend it on suitable for a group of young adult friends? We want things where the joy/pleasure is somewhat in proportion to how much it costs, not just because it says “Gucci” or anything like that.

We’re thinking along the lines of nice restaurants, escape rooms, maybe a massage/spa day. Already did a vacation.

My friend isn’t comfortable with doing things like buying us all new phones we don’t need or anything nauseating like that, and isn’t allowed to invest/keep it. Not really looking for material purchases in general, tbh.
