Apple’s direct deals are usually pretty awful (and honestly, most of their deals are pretty awful all year round). It’s the retailers to watch for as they offer significant discounts year after year.

Well, I do have to buy AirPods and possibly a Magic Keyboard, so at least that’ll make the MBP purchase soon after that a little cheaper.
You can redeem a gift card on refurbs, but I don’t believe a refurb is a qualifying purchase to receive a gift card.
