A question for ex fitbiters, what do you miss about Fitbit and do you regret moving on to Apple watch and leaving Fitbit behind?

Fitbit is so good at auto-detecting activity. It knew when I was riding a bike. It knew when I was dancing around. With Apple Watch, the only thing it reliably detects is walks.

I don’t miss anything. My Apple Watches have been much better all around.

It takes Apple Watch like 4 apps and at least 1 paid apps or subscription to do what Fitbit does in 1 app with 1 optional subscription. Apple Watch info is split between the Health app, Fitness app, Apple Watch App, and any third party apps you use (which Apple Watch is reliant on to cover uses that Apple doesn’t natively cover like auto sleep tracking).

Also, Fitbit has the best sleep tracking out of all fitness trackers in the market. Apple Watch requires either a paid app for mediocre sleep tracking (via the Auto Sleep app) or you must sleep within your scheduled sleep hours with Sleep focus enabled for sleep tracking to work.

Also, requires daily charging on the Apple Watch while Fitbit lasts 7+ days depending on your model.

Fitbit could show me my October total steps, as a great logging method. Or last week, etc. Apple only dies rolling totals.

I preferred the steps on the screen of the Versa vs rings. and I realize there’s probably some custom complication for that. Absolutely nothing else.

I was an early Fitbit user and LOVED them. I had a bunch of different models. I do miss it.

I got so used to steps as the metric and even after a year it’s been an adjustment to have it now be active minutes. I also liked the FitBit app because it was more social. The Apple Watch is a smart watch that has fitness settings. Fitbits are pretty exclusively fitness watches.

Oh I totally forgot about that! But it was a huge draw for me, especially around food ideas, and I feel like it was easier to find my IRL friends and invite them to compete.

My Fitbit was the charge 2, I can do everything the Fitbit did on my Apple Watch

things I do miss is not being scared of scratching it or damaging it. I do hv AppleCare but i still care abt it. It was very tough and small as well, it wasn’t waterproof but I did lots of water activities with it and it was fine. The Fitbit also needed charging ever TEN DAYS while my Apple Watch needs it every two days

I miss nothing about my FitBit. I had two that broke after a year and I was careful with them. I had A Samsung Active Watch 2 for over two years that was worlds better than the FitBit but now I have the AW 8.

    FitBit is complete crap.
