Just ordered a refurbished SE 2020 from Swappie today for €204. Excellent condition, 64gb, red. My plan is to use this for a few years and then get the SE 4 brand new whenever it comes out. What do you guys think?

I owned an iPhone 7 for 7 years. For the last 2 years it stopped getting the annual iOS updates, but other than that it worked great.

So from date of first release, it seems that a typical,iPhone should last at least 7 years. Some people still use older phone like the 6S today.

That means an iPhone SE 2020 should last until at least 2027, perhaps a year or two longer than that?

I agree it’s not a very good deal. The phone works very well, my dad uses one heavily and it is very responsive. Battery life is so-so.

Considering I owned the SE 2020 (2nd gen SE) for 3.5 yrs, and most iPhones get 5 yrs of updates (?), you’re looking at 1.5-2 yrs of updates or so.

Shoulda went with an android in the same price range op. The SE has weak battery and small screen. The single camera still holds up well tho. And 64gb may be not enough
