In case they want to show only a section of the screen, yes. If it’s a single window, then Command + Shift + 4 + Spacebar is even better.
Look into the all magnets. It’s worth the three bucks for windows like snapping.
If you want to use a program developed by Apple, try open the file with “Pages”. Otherwise use LibreOffice or the web version of Microsoft Word if you need a free service. Otherwise of course the desktop version of Microsoft Word
