Basically the title, in what way did using your Apple Watch for sleep tracking help you
When my wife wakes up and gets ready for work, my sleep worsens even though I don’t really wake up. Fixing this by sleeping with earplugs has been life changing for me. I feel so much more energised and rested after a night of sleep.
It has shamed me into attempting more sleep. As a gamer, I now feel the need to improve my stats lol
This. 💯
It made me realise that I do not have enough deep sleep per night and it got confirm later by a doctor, unfortunately I haven’t found a way to solve that yet, but at least I know I’m not crazy.
Showed me very important aspects of my heart health that were a results of daily activities. It’s also great for experimenting to see what helps you to have the deepest sleep, all the way from what time do you eat, how much, what do you drink or do before sleeping etc.
Ima be honest I knew my sleep schedule was awful before I got the watch and now that I have it, I can look every morning at how little sleep I got and still do nothing to change it 😔
Same for me, I often see 6 hours of sleep and feel awful all day. It’s a tough habit to break out of. There’s just so much I need to do
Not really yet. It gives metrics on how much I sleep, and that’s kind of cool, but so far I’ve noticed very few consistent patterns. Two or more drinks, yes, sleep quality goes down. But exercise or no exercise, whether morning or afternoon or night, light or heavy? One drink or none, or even going on the wagon for six weeks? Coffee after 3pm or not? None of those seem to have made a predictable difference - maybe I’ll sleep great, but more likely not.
The only pattern I can tell is the more nights of bad sleep I get, the more likely the next night will be good; or conversely, the more nights of good sleep I get, the more likely the next one will be crap.
FWIW, in my case, getting to sleep is very rarely a problem. The problem is waking up around 3am and not getting back to sleep for an hour or two or three.
Not much.
It’s helped me confirm that there are really only two nights out of the entire week that I get the absolute best sleep! Every other night I’m just getting by with what I can achieve.
