I know I’m late to the party but this is impressing me way more than it should.

Please try it if you haven’t already. I assumed for months that my tv and amp were too old or simply not compatible. Set-up was a breeze.

    signals can’t be sent over RCA, the ATV remote is just mimicking the IR volume controls of your receiver remote

      If you’re using a receiver (amp) then your ATV should be connected to your receiver directly via hdmi and then from your receiver to your tv via hdmi. Everything will then communicate via CEC over hdmi. The ATV will receive its signal via Bluetooth and transmit it to the proper device. This is assuming you have a receiver with hdmi switching.
