I have critical levels of ADHD and pretty much accepted that my life will just constantly be in a state of chaos and disarray but then I impulsively decided to buy an Apple Watch and it’s has changed the game for me.
It has now been about a year and a half and-
1.) I improved my sleep exponentially by gamifying it with sleep circles.
2.) I wake up so much more refreshed with the smartalarm that gently vibrates over time to wake me up.
3.) I miss way less important dates since telling siri to add something to my calendar when i first think of it. i know the iphone does that too but not having to grab my phone is a very helpful step.
4.) my public screen time is down because i don’t have to pull out my phone to read a notification and get distracted by something on it.
5.) Also amazing at having siri spit out a random fact when you’re watching independence day with your partner and want to know how old will smith is without grabbing your phone.
6.) it motivated me to smart-homify my entire living space and although it made me more lazy it also made me easily control my level of stimulation without having to make as many executive decisions to get up and change something which makes my free time feel much more relaxing.
but it’s seriously worth the cost for the sleep tracking/smart alarm alone.
What do you mean gamifying with sleep circles?

Fellow ADHD “victim”, the AW is so much more then a watch and fitness tracker! I’m already on my second AW and it’s my most used and beloved gadget that greatly improved my distracting life :) Pro tip, don’t forget to use focus modes to keep some distracting notifications at bay. Oh and disable wake on Wrist Raise to greatly improve your battery life.
I’m not diagnosed with ADHD, but if there is a behavioral spectrum of ADHD traits, I exhibit at least some of them pretty pronouncedly.
For me, this is spot on! Sepcially being able to set reminders ON THE SPOT and not getting sidetracked into a 10-minute Insta/News/Twitter checking loop every time I check out a notification.
I’m so glad that I’m reading this right now. I just woke up and I’ve been thinking about buying an Apple Watch for days now for my Christmas holidays you see I’ve even been fully convinced until now because I wasn’t really sure if this will impact my life I still have to get up and do it the watch can only remind me of stuff but making it part of a game. A real life game is something that I imagine being super cool but I didn’t know if it was practical and I didn’t know that there were so many ADHD in this community so I did not try to ask or say that information so thank you for telling me that so I’m gonna buy myself in se this holiday season and I have ADHD as well and I thought the Apple Watch could be a cool solution to remind me of stuff and making a part of a game
Wait, where do I see my sleep circles?
What about smartalarm what is that ?
Auto sleep app
Activity rings taught me how habits worked. Turns out streaks and daily reinforcement really do build consistency. I am now happily applying these concepts to other areas in my life
