It’s an adjustment phase, but I’ve been here for a few minutes and already I like Lemmy better than Reddit. The entire format is just better put together. It feels like the old internet, where you could just shoot info back and forth without the rigamarole. I’m still not sure how every feature works, mind. Anyone out there who can give me some experience tips on how to better use the platform?
I just checked and it looks like Reddit hasn’t been deleted. Please try again.
If you press too softly, it doesn’t delete. If you press too hard, it implodes and becomes a black hole. I’m thankful that OP erred on the side of caution.
Lol!
Um, I meant I deleted the app from my phone? I quit? How does one misread this?
I’m sure it’s a joke, like deleting the entirety of Reddit, off the face of this planet.
You know, I was thinking about that. You’re probably right. I am so bad at telling apart sarcastic humor from trolling 😑

Not mine, but a great beginners guide.

Also not mine, but how to find and subscribe to communities.
Welcome
Thank you for this.
Welcome! 👋
Here’s some beans, enjoy 🫴
5 cans of beans a day seems like a lot.
Not if you want an Irish-jacuzzi…
Proud of you bud
There’s a fedi.tips post bot that seems to post roughtly daily? It’s been great for slowly absorbing information as I get used to the platform. (Though I might be confusing it with something on mastodon?) If anyone can help me with specifics here please do.

Check out kbin.social too, it shares content with lemmy and I personally vastly prefer the experience.
Another vote for kbin here. But glad you’ve found a new Internet home!
I deleted the mobile app; I can’t stand it. I’ll use old in desktop mode on my mobile browser if I need it.
This is what I’ve been doing. It let me continue to participate in the niche communities that haven’t migrated but greatly throttles my use of it.
What app are you using?
