I’ve recently begun the Monday sweater by PetiteKnit with some discounted alpaca yarn I had lying around.

Has anyone here knit this pattern yet and can share some tips? I’m knitting quite a small size because 15-20 cm of ease seems excessive for me. Stay tuned to see if I am going to regret this choice later on :D

I’ll be curious to know if you think this pattern might be first-timer-friendly. New acronym: FTF

I love the look of tight/small knit. And I’m currently lamenting that love on my own WIP.

That’s a great color of yarn!

I had some problems with the raglan increases in the short row section at the beginning - it’s a bit difficult because you might lose your place in the pattern. Technique wise it’s only M1R, raglan, M1L but back and forth, so four different stitches. Basically, it’s just a matter of keeping track and working slowly. There’s an explanation for each of the four stitches. You could color code them so you know which ones are on the wrong side.

Otherwise, it’s just stockinette, ribbing and an Italian bind-off.

Updating to show current status! It’s going along well and fits nicely.

I love the patterns by Petit Knit! I haven’t done this one yet, but I really like the simple design and you chose a great color.

I also sometimes mess with the ease of a sweater by knitting up or down a size or two. I know what I like to wear so usually it turns out right. I also obsessively measure as I go to make sure my gauge calculation is matching up with reality.

Keep us updated on your progress!
