- See the earlier posts - https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/423973 - https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/113452 - https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/95783 - Most people have settled on TorrentGalaxy, 1337x, Rutracker, etc. Or work your way into private torrent trackers, they were always better than RARBG anyway. - deleted by creator - Haha, yes the same frog with a brick from the other site. - I do also recognize the bear with a hammer, welcome to the Fediverse :) - deleted by creator

- RARBG really left a big hole in my heart.
- 1337x and torrentgalaxy.to are my go-to public trackers nowadays
- qbittorrent search - Searching through that app still requires a plugin, and all the plugins I saw just seemed to be related to specific sites anyway - so you might as well just search on those sites. - Or is there a plugin that stands out over the rest? - No, but searching five sites at once from inside the application is simply a better and more time effective solution. - Can use prowlarr or jackett for that as well, but takes more setup
- Understandtable, but if that’s all it is, then there are already aggregate search websites.

- https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/How-to-configure-Jackett-plugin - easily better than manually navigating websites

- i use 1337x.to and its convenient, but not too sure how safe it is - Not as well curated as rarbg, but a pretty good site - My main issue is they report false seed counts. I don’t think I’ve gotten anything too nefarious from them using radarr/sonarr. Definitely not as good as RARBG though.

- I’ve used it for years, it’s solid. Mostly good quality and some very reliable uploaders.

- The best alternative is Real-Debrid 😉 - Does it have same or similar interface? - Rarbg had screens for every release, good search, lists of new movies and popular ones, also had amazing rips from rarbg. - Not sure if real-debrid has all of that… - So Real-Debrid is a service that caches https-link-versions of popular torrents. Instead of torrenting, you select the movie or tv show you would like to watch and RD provides you with a list of cached streams (which you can sort by video quality, audio quality, etc). You click play, and it plays. It’s gaining a lot of traction, compared to torrenting. There are some really incredible apps for Android TV’s, FireTV’s, Chromecast devices, etc.

- I haven’t used it (I use private trackers), but try TheRarBg.com - I know those site admins like to spam Reddit but beyond that I can’t tell why people recommend it. The team behind it are the same people that run tons of proxy sites essentially pretending to be 1337x, TPB, etc. - In other words that site is essentially a 1337x mirror with the word “RARBG” in the name. I looked at the first page of their “Recent Torrents” and they are all from 1337x. - Not to mention the ads are insane there, most normal people won’t even be able to do anything there LOL. - And they link a non-functional RSS page while the real RARBG had an awesome RSS feed. If they had that I’d cut them some slack, it’d be a 1337x mirror with a working RSS feed at least. (the actual 1337x has no RSS feeds)
- Where can one obtain private trackers from? - Keep an eye on !opensignups@lemmy.ml and/or https://opentrackers.org - Maybe also monitor the invites thread at !trackers@lemmy.dbzer0.com though I’m not too sure how active that’ll be. - EDIT: Fixed links - Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using an URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !trackers@opentrackers.org - Maybe also monitor the invites thread at [

- It is completely using the database of RARBG, and the release time is also based on the original time of RARBG. - No garbage content from other sites was added inside. Currently.
- If anyone is after kdrama there’s dramaday . It’s an involved process but once you get the hang of it it’s not to bad and best of all the quality is perfect.
