Yep. That’s why the homeless crisis is growing: because the poor are richer and because there are more billionaires.

If you’re going to call what we’re living in now a “capitalist” society, then I’m guessing you think Taco Bell is “Mexican” and a trans women are really women…

Capitalism doesn’t prop up monopolies (there’s lots of evidence that Comcast especially has had help at various levels of government, there’s lots of evidence that suggests Microsoft bought off senators to get out of being prosecuted for committing tax fraud on a staggering scale, etc).

I would love to have detailed, 100% publicly available records of where senators and congressmen and women get their funding. And to clean out the lobbyists and the rest of the swamp. I would love it if soros, gates, bezos, zuck got together and invited CEOs from Comcast and other monopolies on another “submarine” ride to visit the Titanic…

Trust me that I’m no fan of the rich (at least not the ones who got rich illegally or by stepping on others) or of monopolies. But regulated small and medium sized businesses under real capitalism would work a lot better than these big conglomerates and not have all of the massive disadvantages of socialism.

This. There is a difference between real capitalism and crony capitalism, which isn’t really capitalism.

Also yes, lobbying (bribes) is such a giant issue that no one talks about that’s completely fucking over the legislative process.
