minus-squarebfg9k@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up25·11 months agoI love how his specs were so outrageous back then but are just becoming normal now flat screen monitor 40 inches wide - you can easily get one now every file inspected, no viruses detected - EDR is a thing now which is constantly watching for malicious activity it does all my work without me even asking - automation is definitely a thing now got me a T1 line at my house - we’re well beyond 1.5Mbit to the home now lol

Some servers do already. And not just business class either, I know of a few Plex servers that are running on 256 GB RAM disks
