- Transcription: - An image of a social media post: - Linus Torvalds @torvalds 10 hours ago - I’m clearly a master of SEO. - When I google for “cold dark place filled with sadness and despair” right now (with the quotes), google gives me exactly one result - my Linux kernel github repository. - I will call my new hobby “Reverse Emo Googlewhacking”. - You’re welcome. - 56 replies 571 shares 1155 favourites - I hope Lemmy adds alt text like Mastadon and Pixelfed - That would be great yeah :)

- Thanks. I didn’t know that when one adds an image it would override the URL. Even though the post contains the URL, clicking on the title only shows the image. I included the URL in the post body, but it’s not as visible, unfortunately. - No worries :) Just transcribing for fun mostly, and as a substitute for having done it on “transcribers of reddit” for quite a while, and it’s nice to be able to help people who may need a transcription :) - You are doing a great work!

- Dang, you just broke the SEOoOooOo
- fillde -> filled - Thank you :) Corrected

- Linus’ anger management looks to be working out for him - that’s four sentences in a row without any fucks in them. Keep on keeping it chill, big man.
- Instead of the Internet consisting of 5 giant websites filled with screenshots of the other 4, I guess this is a win? A Lemmy post on the fediverse consisting of a screenshot of a Akkoma fediverse post?
- Hm, when I google this, I get Edgar Allen Poe’s the Raven. - Third of only five results for me - Only result for me is the repo. Along with the helpful prompt: - people also ask: how old is Torvalds? Why did Linus Torvalds created Git? - Very weird that the grammar mistake is part of the prompt

- duckduckgo gives me no results at all for “cold dark place filled with sadness and despair”. So I guess it’s either a more hopeful search engine . . . or just respecting the quotes properly. ;)
- No results on duckduckgo. It was on google, but it was the 6th result.
