Inglourious Basterds is a 2009 war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, Eli Roth, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl, Til Schweiger and Mélanie Laurent.

The film tells an alternate history story of two plots to assassinate Nazi Germany’s leadership—one planned by Shosanna Dreyfus, a young French Jewish cinema proprietor, and the other planned by the British but ultimately conducted solely by a team of Jewish American soldiers led by First Lieutenant Aldo Raine.

The title was inspired by Italian director Enzo G. Castellari’s 1978 Euro War film The Inglorious Bastards, though Tarantino’s film is not a remake of it.

Why upload a full movie to YouTube and sharing its flawed access link?

You know I don’t upload these films myself, right? I have no idea what motivates the uploaders to do this.

I’m not gonna buy a VPN to watch a movie in low quality on YouTube with ads.

    Ok, makes sense.

Won’t it be entirely removed soon anyways?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It’s all a mystery to me.

I don’t get it, what am I missing (apart from this excellent movie I already watched a bunch of times ; ) ?

For me, this community gives me something to do, aside from just staring at a screen. I like sharing what I consider great works in general on lemmy. You can watch the movies, or just talk about them, or completely ignore them. Up to you.

If you’ve seen this before, what was your favorite part? Did you enjoy Brad Pitt’s southern accent or no? You get the idea…

Fair enough. So the link is only a bonus for “ppl in the right country”. Ok ok, sorry I’m always triggered when denied access lol.

Yes I loved Pitt’s accents in the movie! A particular scene that comes to mind is the americano-italian accent scene where SS Landa blatantly fucks with the undercover team. Perfect scene imo! Well, as perfect as the whole movie. I’m a fan. I think I’m going to re-watch it now… On Blu-Ray!
