My intentions are to run windows server 2019 on a 4 core 16gb poweredge R230.

I would also ‘like’ to run a Ubuntu server instance or two for a few network appplications. I don’t know the hardware limitations for hungry windows and if this is a good idea.

Looking for advice, also not sure how much hardware vmware eats up before allocating. Can I allocate all cores to multiple machines or will vmware say no?

I know it’s only a 230 but that’s all I have, thanks.
