Damn as much as I hate Limit Run, Gex and the TMNT soundtracks are calling for me

I watched this live yesterday, but it’s great to see the sumamry written down, thanks! There’s nothing I’m particularly super excited about, but what stands out for me is probably “The Making of Karateka” since the concept sounds super interesting, potentially Shantae for Game Boy Advance (I love the idea of buying a new GBA cartridge!), also potentially the TMNT soundtracks (might get some of them on CD or cassette) and maybe the Jurassic Park collection. I don’t remember the 16/8 bit Jurassic Park games being very good, but I might be wrong, will take a look once pre-orders are out.

I remember Gex on the N64 being a massive pain in the ass with the camera. If it’s coming to Carbon Engine, is that something that could be improved?

The waiting times for Limited Run Games is not ideal, but I have bought a lot of games from them and Strictly Limited Run. I’m always going to prefer physical to digital. We’ve been burned before…

I do not work for LRG. Just trying to foster discussion in the community. I’m a mod here

And you mentioned all the same things I am interested in. I’ve never bought anything from LRG before, so I’m glad to get some feedback from others. I thought The Making of Karateka was the standout here with such an interesting concept!

Yeah, it’s a bit of a pain that you need to wait so long after you’ve ordered your game. The latest game I got was Doom Eternal, which I ordered in August 2022, and got it delivered last June 29. So almost a year wait, but as long as you’re ok with that, I’d say it’s definitely worth it.

Oof, good to know. That sucks. I guess if it’s a really coveted item it might be worth the wait

Conversations here are beginning to discuss the company firing someone for potentially bigoted beliefs. I do not know the story of LRG and this particular instance, and I am not here to rule on what happened or did not happen. What I will say, is that transphobia and discrimination of any kind are unwelcome in this community.
