Is it? I try to keep myself in the know car-wise and I really never saw a future where this wasn’t going to happen. The deadline is going to be pushed back multiple times before it is reached, and when we finally get there (mid 2040s IMO) it will be so watered down that it effectively says “Keep doing what you’re doing, good job guys.”

I don’t understand why automakers tie regenerative braking to the accelerator. Just put down a third pedal, its not like anyone would ever need to accelerate and regen at the same time.
