Once the dead rat and blood wall were cleaned up, the stream really went down hill
I dig ham radio, telephones, computers, privacy, vim, and my dog.

It’s both. SK, Stop Keying, is used in CW (morse) whenever a station is done transmitting. SK is also Silent Key, but you’ll rarely hear the abbreviation over voice or CW.
Could be that ARRL was down then. All links work for me.
Yea in a community you only see the community info. The “official” sidebar is only on the main feed
What do you see and what link are you using? On my Mac in safari at lemmy.radio I can see it. Not in a community
The general sidebar on the right has some links for how to get into amateur radio.
Not a lemmy dev so I’m not the go to on issues. I had that issue on Firefox though.
I feel like every year since I’ve been licensed and an ARRL member, I’ve become less enthused by the ARRL. To the point where this may be my last year as a member.
Also a thought: I use a few ARRL links in our side bar I wouldn’t mind changing to non-ARRL links. Open to suggestions.
It’s a blast to play. Took about 6 tries to finish the game. The difficulty spike at the end is kinda crazy. Definitely recommend getting it before/if Nintendo takes it down.
I do enjoy my morserino-32. It was an educational experience to build and it has definitely helped my cw comprehension
I bought a pretty basic safety razor from maggard about 10 years ago and still love it. The biggest thing to learn and invest in is what blades and lather you like. I started off buying a blade sampler pack from them and settled on astra blades. i’ll change up my lather/soap sometimes. Also a nice brush is good to have.
Oh no
Ha I have almost the same story. Grandfather talking to people on his radio all day, missing dinner, and my grandma getting mad at him. He’s one of the reasons I got into ham radio! Thanks for sharing your story!
Sorry, but I said that “…he said he would volunteer”. I did not say that Grusch had provided evidence. There’s a difference. Have you watched the hearing?
edit: I read that wrong. I thought you were referring to my post as the one you replied to since it was the one you were replying to. carry on :)
I believe he said he would volunteer names and government entities who were behind the spending and coverups. He also mentioned an actual answer to what “non-human biological” meant and where certain UAPs were being housed.
He did actually bring up that his knowledge of events went back to the 1930s… which I’m assuming is that theory.
Yes, they were under oath. Link to the video and timestamped of the oath: https://www.youtube.com/live/KQ7Dw-739VY?feature=share&t=2506
It’s definitely been low-covered in the media here in the states. It sort of got big a few weeks ago when a very small, almost unknown newstation called “News Nation” picked up the Grusch interview. It was covered heavily there, but… no one watches that channel.
Afterwards, some of the big stations picked it up and some newspapers too, but it was forgotten pretty quickly. Unless you were already in this “circle of information”, you probably wouldn’t have heard about it. Maybe it’ll get picked up after today (but probably forgotten about by Friday)
Yeah, excited to see next steps and hopefully get more from the next session.
Some surprising discussions in this hearing: Gaetz talking about the orb photo from Eglin, Biggs bringing up the Phoenix Lights, and I loved how every time Grusch said he couldn’t discuss things in this setting, everyone was like “ok, let’s talk after this then in a SKIF”
edit: oh and Fravor brought up a history of the US government covering up things and brought up Project Bluebook
Nice! I did the exact same thing. Remote exam in my bathroom. Congrats on the tech and general. If you plan on the extra, do it before you forget anything from the general because there’s a lot of carry over from the test.
