Although they use milk, they consider egg a meat. They treat their cows like gods, so if you’re vegan only for the reasons of animal suffering then I’d argue being vegetarian in India is philosophically identical

There’s no alternative that won’t have major limitations. I predict it’ll just be more like going back to the days of jailbreaking to install unsigned apps. Unfortunately AOSP is already pretty much unusable without Google services installed for the vast majority of apps.
I get that it’s satire but it makes a good point. It is the government’s problem that renting out property is financially incentivized. We can’t expect any significant number of landlords to start charging below market rent. Especially because many of those landlords are public corporations who must act in the interest of their shareholders, directly against the interests of their tenants. This is the government’s problem to regulate and in absence of the regulation effort is better spent targeting government than individual landlords/corporations imo. Ya the government won’t do anything, they are the landlords after all, but at least there’s a path to changing the financial incentive through government.

I’m on mobile and more importantly, too lazy to open it just for a meme.

FFmpeg doesn’t deserve to be such a tiny block. Nothing else comes close to matching its stability and simplicity. There’s a reason it’s practically part of the foundation for all media software out there.

It’s definitely a minority, but easy to fix if you encounter such a site even a single time. There are also some sites which refuse to load on Firefox but work fine if you change the user-agent to Chrome.
What do you even do in a situation like this? You can’t get to shelter in any reasonable amount of time and whether you’re in the unit or on the balcony you’re dead if your building is struck.
Containers are often simple enough you don’t even need a guide. I don’t trust myself to configure anything on the host system correctly, and using Docker containers completely solves concerns of conflicting dependencies during updates. I personally avoid hosting anything that isn’t available with Docker anymore. It’s just too much work for a worse result.

The sad part is that some people have unwillingly had their DNA shared. My parents both did it without me knowing so now they already have my information too.

Browsing this post on China Mobile now, everything is working fine.
His “math” for calculating each is surprisingly simple and not based on anything “reciprocal” https://youtu.be/j04IAbWCszg

Normally Trump does what’s best for the ultra wealthy, but de-dollarization of the world economy appears to be good for nobody in the USA. I have no clue what they’re trying to do, I suspect he’s just lost it and there’s nobody left to tell him these tariffs hurt his croneys too.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re already too far along to save the dollar’s position globally. Globally that’s probably a good thing, but for any of us in the US it’s decidely not.
Ya I don’t know about other people’s maintenance teams but I avoid calling mine whenever possible. They always get mud and dirt on the carpet after they enter, but more importantly I don’t like people I don’t know entering my apartment while I’m not there.

Has anyone seen customs ever actually search an electronic device before? I travel internationally nearly every month and have never seen this before, even in China.

Ya at least you can opt out of overdraft entirely unlike the banks using your money for irresponsible ‘investments’. I have no idea why anyone has overdrafting active on their accounts beyond it simply being the default option, even for a $5 fee it’s a total scam.

This is absolutely not my experience. Usually the libertarians I talk to are first and foremost contrarians who don’t want to appear politically mainstream but also usually haven’t thought too hard about politics before.

Thank you for clarifying that this removes the requirement to spend the money where it was allocated. This answers my question and could indeed be worse than a shutdown.

Most MAGA Republicans would rather a shutdown than giving in to Democratic points. The alternative wasn’t Democrats getting one or two of their points in the budget in exchange for it passing, the alternative was a government shutdown.
I fully agree that when the Democrats have power they do absolutely nothing with it, but in this case I fail to see how they could have gotten any of their points in.
Not the case for me, I’ll typically spend a solid week or two tweaking things after I initially set it up to get all the hardware working perfectly, then never touch the configuration again even as things slowly start breaking with updates.
