lol I would want to punch that person, too
In this case, her expectation was that she receive whole paragraphs (with positivity if possible) for comments on her slide deck, rather than a short comment with my suggestion to make stuff better.
She’s the dumbass who asked a technical editor to review her stuff 🤷♀️ 😀 😀
(and before anyone points out my grammatical/punctuation errors above: it’s early and idgaf)
Weird … I was told the exact same thing by my boss.
So I stopped using emojis, and then she told me that my messages were “passive-aggressive” or “rude”
And I told her that’s why people use emojis, to add the nuance that is missing because we aren’t communicating face-to-face 🤷♀️
I’m going to assign you a book:
Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals by Saul Alinsky
Do you remember when the right-wing dummies were all shrieking about this book, and how Hillary Clinton was mentored by Alinsky?
It’s because they were following the damn advice in that book - it’s like a checklist of what to do to take over locally, then statewide, etc
Infidelity is somewhat common but I would say it’s not “normal” at all to openly discuss and laugh about it at dinner with a bunch of people that you haven’t seen for years.
Seriously- wtf is wrong with these people? That one person sounds especially horrible.
Also - don’t go to any more reunions. I’ve managed to avoid 40 years of that shit and I like to believe that I’m happier for it!
