It won’t block them, but I started to feel like recently DDG’s results were awful. I couldn’t find simple things. I’ve switched to startpage and had a much better experience. The results feel more aligned with what I want and I feel like there’s less crap. Its probably confirmation bias hah, but its working.

If you’re into micro managing an empire and freedom it really is a great game. Its a bit janky but it has charm. Itll never feel like the game is forcing you in any direction. You can easily just fly through space mining rocks if you wanted.

For locally hosted LLMs maybe? They eat a ton of VRAM.

I just got the same warning on FF with uBlock. Both Freetube and NewPipe seem to be fine though. I guess Freetube it is until uBlock is patched.

I never thought I’d miss xlookup… But here I am. Calc isn’t bad, I hate the ui but that may just be years of excel muscle memory getting to me. But calc does 99% of what I need it to. The rest of libreoffice I never touch.

This actually is relevant, but wasn’t part of your initial statement. If you don’t like people using the term to refer to you then people should absolutely make an effort to not use that term when referencing you.

Saying there’s some mental gymnastics on my part is a bit of stretch, it’s how the word is defined in the dictionary. All I needed was to read. There’s no disrespect here, if you don’t like it then using the term to refer to you would be disrespectful, but I haven’t done so.

I don’t see the issue with using the term “guys” in the plural when referring to a group regardless of sex. That would align with the definition of the word. I’m pretty sure that’s how they meant it.

When I first started with Linux I was determined to not use the desktop for files since the mess that was my desktop on windows always bothered me. A year later my home folder is a mess. I guess nothing really changed here.

As long as both remain free and open source I’ll allow it.

Actually this is a more clear idea of what I was looking for. A device I could get these apps on and still have control over the device.

Was actually unaware of SmartTube. Looks like it may cover that part for me :). I had also never heard of LineageOS, I’ll take a look there too. I have a Pi4 laying about I was going to use.

As for FireTV I may just end up going that rout, I was just curious what the options looked like. Thank you for taking the time to enlighten me :).
