Having been in this situation, I would advise thinking a bit about what the family members add to your life. Just because they are family, does not mean that they have to be part of your life.

In my personal situation, I distanced myself. If they’re mistreating you, they can figure their problems out on their own. “But they’re family” goes both ways, they should be putting as guy effort into you as you do for them.
