Like I said, I was perhaps a bit too harsh with the original comment. I take back the dropping the ball part. I guess things are going well and good.
Perhaps my original comment was too doom, gloom and harsh. But you can’t really say the Euro car industry is doing well. VAG having factories running on minimum or not at all, lay offs, BMW shooting themself in the foot with all the subscription nonsense… And the price. That’s the big one. Obviously the cheaper chinese things are nastier than a high end BMW, obviously the chinese makers are subsidized by the government… but perhaps the Euro car makers should have lobbied their governments/EU to subsidize their EV production lines, instead of wasting time and effort on moving the 0 Carbon goalposts further away. Though I’ll admit that the EU was moronic with deciding that we should do that in the time window that they did, that whole thing was done ass backwards and on a too tight schedule.

Perhaps I’m not bitter. I don’t know what I am. Tired, frustrated to the point of being done with everything and everyone. I’m not sure what to call it, depression is a major part of it. Introverted, for sure. I’m a introvert even in Finnish standards lol.
The only way to “win” here is by playing the ethics card. But alas that argument is just not well understood by most people.

My dad used to work in one, got to visit it a few times. Pretty interesting what people consider as “general rubbish”… Everything from false teeth to propane tanks… Luckily the system has a big magnet that pulls that shit out of there

Ironically Japanese brands are now the ones that are most behind on electric cars.
I’m not surprised that European brands have dropped the ball, after all, the British car makers back in the day showed how its done. But I’m baffled that the Japanese dropped it. How is it possible that the Nissan Leaf is among the best EV’s from Japan? How is it possible that Honda is completely lost with all sorts of things, they are nearly extinct on the European market as a whole. You have to really search for a dealer if you want one and if you find one, you have option of a Civic and whatever that SUV thing is, was it the Starion or Ecplipse? On of the two. Anyway…
Then theres Toyota. I guess they wasted all their money with hydrogen and only focused on hybrids. One would have thought that they would have been on the forefront of EV’s etc but… I don’t even know what was going on there. Do they even have full electric cars? Or is it just sporty Yarises and hybrid Corollas all the way down?
Set up a strategic oil and gas storage there instead.
I look at it a bit differently. If I’m not important enough to my friends and family for them to install a easy to set up app, then I guess I never was that important to them.
I left facebook in 2011, lost contact with most of my school friends, army buddies etc. I left Whatsapp around 2016, lost contact with most of what was left. In my signal there’s 6 chats open. Two of them are my sisters, whom I rarely talk to. One of them is my weed dealer. The rest are friends, I guess, but even those chats haven’t been active since January 6th (I just checked) lol.
But I know I’m a bit different, I’m a bitter, miserable and grumpy man who doesn’t mind being alone. I know most of the people are not like that and would go mad without contact with other people. For me its more healthy to be away from these parasite apps and services than it is to keep up with everyone.
I assume you’ve checked that the drivers are up to date?
Have you tried if it can find other networks that you know are working? For example, use your phone’s hotspot thing to creat a wifi, see if Ubuntu finds that, if it does, make sure the connection works. It could be that there’s just no other networks in range. Though if you live in a apartment complext that would be weird indeed.

Maybe this is a 5D chess move from the EU. They tell Orban the Hutt that we have started a project to fix the pipeline. Just need to get a work group to figure out the logistics, then a commission to figure out the finances, then need to start accepting offers from private companies who want to fix it, then realise that we overlooked something about the application process and need to start all over again… By then it’ll be 2032.
