That IS pretty amazing. I wouldn’t be able to do that in one day. I did a two day hike through the mountains in Japan during a couple of weeks where my daily exercise was already way above normal. I obviously want to track all of those stats, but I didn’t use an fitness app to track move and exercise because I was more worried about my charger getting used up and leaving me with no emergency contact or way of finding my position in a relatively remote area. I do like to track my data, so I often question when I use the app for a 30 minute lunchtime walk, but my watch doesn’t really tick away the same stats when I’m charging around town doing shopping because I’m not specifically using the fitness app. For my two day hike WITHOUT the fitness app, my old Apple Watch 5 tracked the following: 34.63 miles, 4080 Move, 654 Exercise. The webpage suggests there is a total of about 6,000 feet ascent, but the descent is what really hurts in the end, and I carried a 30-40 pound bag. So I wonder how much different my exercise and move would have been had I used the app. The battery on my new watch seems to last a lot longer, next time I’ll try it with the app.
