There’s videos of Lebanese Army convoys moving South as of 1-2 hours ago in order to enforce the ceasefire, I think the ceasefire deal will go through in four hours time, at 02:00 UTC.
Israel has just bombed all the border crossings with Syria as well in the past hour. The fighting right up until the start of the ceasefire is quite reminiscent of WW1 honestly.

There’s a morbid OSINT account on twitter tracking Hezbollah fatalities, using information from Lebanese sources. If we assume an injured to killed ratio of 4.2:1 (the same ratio from the total statistics of the Lebanese civilian population, 3 670 deaths and 15 400 injured), that gives a total of 7 283 injured, from 1734 fatalities, and a total of 9 016 casualties since October 2023.
It’s not necessarily about being more aggressive, but using the different strategic weapons systems. We’ve seen how useful FPV drones have been in Ukraine, for example. I’m guessing that a lot of senior members being killed by Israel prevented the deployment of these systems to the battlefield.
I think it’s fair to say that the Israeli decapitation strikes (in the terrorist pager operation and leadership assassinations) hindered Hezbollah’s strategic forces. First FPV drone attack was yesterday, first cruise missile attack a few days ago. These should have been operational from day 1 of the Israeli invasion.
Yeah I don’t think people understand the huge amount of losses Hezbollah has taken since the September 17th Israeli terrorist pager operation. They have been suffering on average around 100 casualties (killed and wounded) a day since then, for a total of 7000 casualties between September 17th and today, by my calculations… This does not include Hezbollah causalities from before September 17th (over 2000 casualties by the same calculations), or the civilian cost of Israeli terror bombings. That is not sustainable long term.

Yeah initially, especially with the 23 of November ATACMS attack, Russia tried to sweep it under the rug and de-escalate, saying that it was a Ukrainian ballistic missile attack. But then pictures of a destroyed S-400 air defence system’s fire control radar from the 23rd emerged, and videos of the cluster bomb ATACMS attack on the 25th spread all over social media. So now Russia has to retaliate given the undeniable evidence of an ATACMS attack being public.

In negotiations, not finalised. Both sides will probably look to get in some final big hits before it’s signed, if it’s signed. For genocidal Israel that means destroying 20 civilian buildings in Lebanon.
My comment was more in regards with how the proposed ceasefire agreement plans to deal with Resolution 1701, than if the ceasefire would happen or not.
The IDF have 169,500 active members and 465,000 reserves, for a total of 634 500 members. Hezbollah, by their own claims, have 100 000 fighters, including active and reserve personnel. The numbers are not in Hezbollah’s favour here in a manpower attrition scenario.
The updates by this twitter account are usually accurate, a comrade shared it on here a week or two ago, they correctly call attacks as they are happening with regards to Russia/Ukraine, and have some good mapping info on Lebanon/Israel. Don’t worry it’s not some delusional NAFO account, they seem to keep their personal basies out of the reporting and the majority of their following is actually pro Russia.

Territory gains by Israel have started to increase within the last few weeks, and while Hezbollah were able to restrict Israeli territory gains beforehand, it came at a huge cost for them. 1294 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the Israeli pager terrorist operation and decapitation strike on September 17. If we assume an injury to death ratio of 4.2 to 1 (the same ratio as the total statistics in Lebanon among the civilian population, 3 670 deaths and 15 400 injured), that means 5 434 injuries, for a total amount of casualties of 6729 since September 17. Nearly 7000 casualties in 70 days of fighting… 98 casualties a day on average. And that is without considering the civilian cost with unrestricted Israeli bombings. That is not sustainable long term.
Israel is continuing to bomb major cities in Lebanon (in Bekaa, Beirut, Tyre) along with the southern villages and border crossings with Syria, while continuing to release “evacuation orders” for residential buildings. The ceasefire is supposed to come into effect within the next two hours, it seems as if Israel is trying to cause maximum destruction before they won’t be able to anymore, and for the genocidal entity that means murdering as many people as possible and terrorising civilians.
