Honestly to me it sounds like they are forking bazzite to have their own official version not that bazzite is making a version for them. The discord link they gave isn’t even for the bazzite discord.

If they are holding data hostage yes that is a problem but if you use the export option I would bet it gives all the info.

If they did that then they likely would end up with melted 8 pin connectors as that derating is a protection against one pin being overused due to small expected differences in resistance on each pin

depends on if you are commonly cpu limited or not. If you are having performance drops from the cpu not keeping up then go with 16gb 3600Mhz to get a little more performance. If you never are being cpu limited then the extra ram would be better as it will be used for caching to help load times and reduce the chance of fps dips related to loading assets
