If anything he should be mad at the Americans for emboldening China so much with that toddler walk of a presidential visit. As far as they’re concerned the only real obstacle would have been America. I don’t believe China is concerned what a Canadian Conservative MP has to say on the matter.
He’s in bed, or his superiors are, with the people making China’s attitude towards Taiwan, moving forward, possible. Furthermore I doubt they’re terribly concerned with what Canada at large as to say, either. Not truly.
It seems to me that China has been awfully patient and has enjoyed watching China’s Nation Builder, Trump, flounder and boast and give them everything they’ve dreamed of for long enough. “Taiwan? After all, why shouldn’t it be ours?”
For the record I stand with Taiwan. I’d rather not be misconstrued as saying China should be rewarded with Taiwan for good behavior or some crap
