Yeah, I guess you are right. But I need something a little thicker when running on trails, do you think I gain something by using the V-Trail vs the Xero Mesa Trail or similar, with a little more protection?
I mean for electronic payments. But I would also be interested in knowing how you solve gpay in a privacy oriented way?
I am terribly sorry I mixed up this flooded community. I just posted on barefoot_shoes.
Otherwise you could write to the good cloud team , they can put you on another node. That happened to me , twice , and now it is much faster . I use it to manage my calendars
I don’t really know actually. I just want a good bag, that is roomy, has a laptop compartment at the back, quick access pocket when taking one strap off and moving it from back to front. And a bigger not flat pocket for misc stuff (keys, glasses and so on). A water bottle pocket would also be nice to have.
I bought a Birkenstock fake and will try it out. Father in law works with making shoes for disabled people, so I’ve got that going for me.
Could you specify further what you don’t understand? I am having trouble understanding what is unclear in my first post. Yes, I want straps… Just like a Birkenstock sandal. I also want a sole. Just like a Birkenstock sandal. But I want it to be zero drop… Just like all barefoot shoes. I also want it to have a wide toebox (or in this case; a more generously rounded toe area) just like all barefoot shoes.
All in all: i do not want a random barefoot sandal with random straps, like the xero Z-trek for example. As stated in my first post: i am looking for a classic Birkenstock sandal, but with the core traits of a barefoot shoe.
I would say cheap bamboo underwear would do the trick. The thing about merino underwear is that that may be great and expensive, but do not hold up that well for the price. If it is broken you can not use it, regardless how great it once was when it was not broken.
Thank you for all your nice thoughts and good advice. I think I am just having a low regarding my privacy journey right now, but I will get back up on the horse eventually. I also think I am overestimating, when companies get hold of some information, they have more information about me than I think. Sometimes I think I have to remind myself, that companies are really more interested in my habits and purchasing patterns, than my telephone number. I guess I do, in that regard, mix and confuse privacy with security a bit. I actually do think that my habits make me pretty secure, so then there is just privacy left. :)
I’m glad there are more people here, that are thinking about these daily dilemmas. The thing is, that I have already, since years, converted my family and friends to Signal, family is using it without a problem, but friends are using it pretty seldom, and then they do not get notifications when I am writing to them. So I got them on Signal, but I still can’t contact some of them because of the notifications issue.😅 That’s what made me write this post about redundancy.
Do you use other means of real time communication other than Signal and plain old SMS?
And usually the Dev or the Devs grandma uses the ROM themselves. It would be alot of work to be insidious and make one version with harmful code, and one that is safe… For twelve random people from somewhere in the world.
I tried it now. I want the option of having widgets on my homescreen, I did not see that option. And from my point of view, the search functionality is not anywhere near Kvaesitso or Kisslauncher.
Stupid question, but how would I also get the possibility to receive shortcuts from an app?Letas say a contact in Signal?
I have tried it but it has no second page and no widgets on the home screen without a swipe, can you tell me how you did these two?
How do you use two launchers at the same time?
Is this FOSS?
I can’t get the searchbar to show results for apps and at the same time offer to search the web.
I tried to find it on github, is it FOSS?
I kept the Mesa trail wp, and the V-Trail, and the Nexus Knit. The V trail were good. The rocks do not hurt anymore. The mesas I won’t run in, but walk in the woods in. Lastly the nexus Knit I will use for work. These ones are my absolute favorite.
