Well “on a budget” is doing some heavy lifting here for sure… I scooped the plate carrier as NOS for around $300, pretty much everything else I paid retail for. Belt was around $180, rifle with all stuff was probably around $1000, pistol was another $600 since it came with the optic. I carried 6 total AR mags and 4 total pistol mags (CZ mags are the worst, about $35 each), and around 200 rounds of rifle and 150 rounds of pistol ammo. I’m probably still about $3-4K deep in kit here all told. The match itself was only $20 to enter at least!

So I guess I’d be applying some adhesive loop side velcro to the receiver to make that work then? That makes a bit more sense than it just flopping around at least. Thanks for the insight!

In his autobiography Ozzy Osborne related a story about the guy next to him dying on a flight. He informed the flight attendant who gave him the choice of moving seats or staying put with free drinks for the remainder of the flight, so he stayed in place and got blasted out of his mind.
