Tbh I’ve tried and most of those games are quite boring aside from exceptions like Mario which are kinda playable. Pretty much all games from that era have a problem in that they don’t respect your time at all and they’re frustrating as hell to play (limited or zero saves, lots of backtracking etc, stuff like that).

Coming back to this few weeks later, I actually had some experiences where I think this will be useful.

I normally wear my fitness smartwatch but on some days decide to wear my regular watches. So on those days I don’t get any automatic step tracking, and I don’t have Google Fit installed only for step tracking as I use my watch manufacturer app.

If Health Connect will write steps automatically without me having to install Fit, then my watch can read back the steps from there and I don’t have to see zero steps on my watch’s tracking for that day 🥲

Right now Health Connect is only something to store Health data into, it doesn’t have any write capabilities. Maybe steps are basic enough for it to capture and store some data, and is something people will actually want to use…? But who knows what it means for Google Fit
